CHANGEABLE WEATHER
SATURDAY NIGHT'S RAIN FINE DAY YESTERDAY In spite of the fact that fine weather was experienced during the day, both on Saturday and yesterday, a total of ,35in. of rain fell during the 48 hours ended midnight last night. During the 24 hours ended midnight on Saturday, the rainfall amounted to .15 in., and in the ensuing 24 hours there was a fall of .20in. Fino weather on Saturday morning and afternoon gave place to heavy rain in the evening. The first showers fell about, nine o'clock and there was a particularly heavy squall shortly before midnight. Rain fell intermittently throughout the greater part of the night and early yesterday morning, the weather clearing again at about seven a.m. yesterday. RAIN IN HAMILTON ANOTHER WET WEEK-END [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Sunday There was a heavy rainstorm in Hamilton last evening. Throughout yesterday the weather was very sultry with an overcast Bky. Rain commenced to fall at about midnight and continued until daybreak. This was the seventh week-end in succession on which rain has been experienced in Hamilton. Sports fixtures yesterday were not interfered with as on the two previous Saturdays. The weather today was fine.
