ANNUAL GUIDE MEETING
takapuna company The annual meeting of the First Takapuna Company of Girl Guides was held at tho Women's Alemorial Hall at Takapuna on Friday evening, Airs. James Thompson, commissioner for North Shore, presiding. The report stated (hat a most satisfactory year had ended. The company had been successful in winning tho Basketball Shield, and two guides, Aliss W. Allnutt and Aliss N. Arthur, had qualified for the round cord. The Brownie Pack early in the year had won tho Napier Shield for swimming. The standard of efficiency had been well maintained and Ihe financial state of the company was altogether satisfactory. In order to commemorate the twenty-first birthday of Guiding trees had been planted at tho hall, by (he Takapuna, Alilfgrd and Brett Home Guides. Following was the result of ho election of ..dicers --President, Mrs. J. W. Williamson; chairwoman, (Mrs. Gunu; joint treasurers,' Airs.
