COLLISION AT CORNER

TWO WOMEN INJURED LORRY STRIKES SMALL CAR [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] GISBORNE, Saturday Two lady motorists were admitted to hospital last evening as the result of a collision in which their car became involved at the intersection of Gladstone Road and Roebuck Road. The injured were Mrs. Caldwell and Miss M. O Connor, both of lolaga Bay. Mrs. Caldwell is suffering from severe bruising of the chest and back and Miss O'Connor's principal injuries comprise painful lacerations of the left hand, necessitating surgical attention. A boy of 12 years, Master Peter Caldwell, who was also an occupant of the car, escaped almost without a bruise, although the car, of the baby type, was rolled over and over as result of a sidewise blow from a lorry.
