MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED
COLLISION WITH CAR VICTIM'S CRITICAL CONDITION A fracture of the skull was received by a single man, Mr. Alfred George Alderton, aged 27, as a result of a collision between the motor-cycle he was riding and a motor-car at the junction of Sandringham and Taumata Roads, Mount Albert, yesterday at 1.15 p.m. Mr. Alderton was thrown heavily to the ground. After receiving attention by Dr. J. Aitken Paterson, he was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance, his condition being reported late last night as critical. The motor-cycle was extensively damaged, but the car escaped fairly lightly.
