GREENWOOD'S HORSES JALOUX REALISES 550 GUINEAS [by telegraph—own correspondent! CHRIST CHURCH, Friday Racing men from all parts of New Zealand were present at the dispersal salo of the late Mr. G. D. Greenwood's horses to-day. Matters were distinctly promising when the first of tho consignment, Jaloux, came into the ring. The first offer was made at 150 guineas, and bids of 25 guineas came rapidly until the gelding was knocked down to a representative of Mr. P. F. Campbell, well known as the former owner of Compris, and at present in Australia, for 550 guineas. The surprise of the salo was the poor price of 75 guineas paid for Azalea, but she was resold privately after the sale at double that price. It was not ascertainable to-day whether the horses engaged in fo-morrow's races would fulfil their engagements for their new owners. Jaloux, however, is not likely to start in the Cup, as he has not had the required preparation. Details of the eale are as follows: HORSES IN TRAINING Ja'oux, by Sutala—Egotism, Gyrs, P. F.
