TROLLEY BOYS AT WORK Being a trolley boy is not a blindalley occupation. It often leads to romance and marriage. So at least it i 3 gathered from inquiries in Manchester, where the practice of employing trolley boys will soon be discontinued. Quite a few love stories have begun with a cheery " Good morning, miss," 011 a trnmcar plat form. Said a trolley boy recently: "The fact that we often meet the same girls day in and day out, going to and from their work, often leads to conversation and friendship. "We should not be human if we did not notice the opposite sex—how they look and what they wear —and have a chat with them now and again." And (lie girls think the trolley boys are jolly boys. " A cheery word or a helping hand such' as the trolley boys often give when you board or leave a' tram, helps to brighten the day's work," said one girl passenger."
