FATALITY IN STREET
DEATH OF SCHOOLBOY COLLISION ON BICYCLE GIRL SERIOUSLY INJURED Lbv telegraph—own correspondent] DUNEDIN, Friday An accident resulting in the death of a, schoolboy and grave injuries (o a young girl occurred shortly after mid-day to-day. While cycling down York Place, Stewart ikin, a Technical College pupil, collided with a girl, Molly Turner, at the corner of Smith Street, and, falling from bis machine, received fatal injuries. The street in which the accident occurred is a fairly steep one, and, following the collision, the boy is said to have struck his head heavily on the kerb. The boy died on the way to hospital, and the girl was unconscious on admission. She was suffering from severe bead injuries and concussion. Her condition tonight was reported to be grave. The boy ikin was 15 years of age and lived with his parents at Dalmore. The girl's parents live in Clyde Street. An inquest was opened this afternoon and was adjourned.
