GARDEN PARTY
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Ideal weather with bright sunshine favoured the garden party held in the beautiful grounds of Sir. and Mrs. R. J. Alexander, of Fairmount, Huapai, on Wednesday afternoon. Pergolas covered with Leone roses in full bloom and the weeping willows on the lawns made a pretty setting for the festivities. Mrs. Alexander received her guests wearing a frock of navy silk hengaline with a navy ballibuntal hat. In the absence of (he Rev. J. More, Dr. Harris declared tho afternoon open and thanked Mr. and Sirs. Alexander for their generosity in throwing open their beautiful home and grounds for the occasion and for their assistance in helping to keep the Presbyterian Homo Mission funds financially sound. Tho Rev. D. D. Rodger also spoke on behalf of the Presbyterian Church. Good business was done at the various stalls and much amusement was found in tho treasure hunt and different competitions arranged. Mrs. A. Burr was the winner of tho Christmas cake and Mrs. Wardlo won tho green tea-shower.
