UNUSUAL FEATURES COMFORT AND CLEANLINESS LONDON, Oct. 10 The Paris correspondent of the Times states that an unusual feature of France's new 60,000-ton turbo electricallv-driven liner Normandie, 1029 ft. J"ng, which will be launched at Saint Nazaire on October 29. is that it has three unequal funnels. The first is higher than the second, and the spcond higher than the third. They are designed to lead off the smoke bo that neither fumes nor dirt will touch the ship. The vessel has a high, bulbous, cruiser bow to keep her dry, and thero are eleven decks, five running from stem to stern. The public rooms are grouped around a large, lofty hall, including a winter garden,- concert and dance halls, and a roof garden. There are six wireless installations and two wireless telephones. There is accommodation for 930 firstclass passengers, 680 tourist class, and 560 third. The vessel's average speed will be ,30 knots.
