LADIES' ASSOCIATION CLOSING DAY TOURNAMENT The Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association brought its season to a close on Saturday afternoon with a knock-out tournament, tho results being as follows: A Section. —First round: Clevcdon, 3. Kiwi, 1; Wesley, 2, Mount Eden, 0; Ngaro, 7, Technical. 0. Second round: C'lcvedon. 3. Wesley. 2. Final: Clevedon. 3, Ngaro, 0. B Section. —First round: Clevedon. 3, Technical, 2; Wesley, 1. Ngntaringa, 0; Kiwi, a bye. Second round: Kiwi, ]. Wesley. 0. Final: Cloved9.ll. 3, Kiwi, 2. After the tournament games tho association entertained tho players and friends to afternoon ten, and then Mr. F. Nicholson, vice-president of tho association, presented the trophies won during the season 113 follows: Senior Grade.—Championship: Kiwi. 19 points (Dawson Cup and badges), 1; Clevedon, 18 points (Grenville Cup), 2. King's Birthday tourney: Kiwi, 18 points (Doris Cup), 1; Wesley. 15 points, 2. Knock-out championship: Wesley (Belmoro Cup), 1; Clevedon (Studley Clip), 2. Intermediate Grade. Championship: Ngaro, 20 points (AVesley Cup and badges), 1; Clevcdon, 21 points, 2. King's Birthday tourney: Wesley, 15 points (Championship Cup), 1; Technical, 9 points, 2. Knock-out championship: Clevcdon (Championship Cup), 1. Junior Grade.—Kiivi, 20 points (Championship Cup and badges), 1; Technical. 19 points (Eden Cup), 2. King's Birthday tourney: Kiwi, 19 points (Kent Cup), 1; Technical, 17 points, 2. Knock-out championship: Technical (Berncckcr Cup), 1; Kiwi (Gage Brown Vase), 2. A presentation of a bouquet was made to Mrs. Nash, in recognition of her services as chairman of the association, while the Kiwi Club members made a presentation of an afternoon tea set to one of their number, Miss Stella Needham, 011 tho eve of her marriage. Sunday The final of the Waikato Hockey Association's competition for the Hooper Cup was decided at Steele Park yesterday, when Cambridge, by defeating Iligh School by six goals to two, annexed tho trophy for ihe season.
