WAIMAUKU
The Waimauku branch of the League of Alothers met. on Wednesday afternoon in the local hall. The president, Airs. I. Charter presided, and gave a talk entitled " Gardens." The branch is now linked to a branch of the Scottish Alothers' Union. This is of special interest as the Waimauku branch was the first country branch of tho league to be, formed. The League of Alothers was started in New Zealand by tho Lady Alice Fergusson, and her daughter-in-law, Airs. James Fergusson, is secretary of the Scottish branch to which it. is linked. Airs. J. Marin was hostess for the_ afternoon. One of a sgries of evenings was given by Airs. W. R. Collins at, her residence, VVaimauku, the proceeds to be in aid of the Waimauku Sports Club. Flag "500" was played, the winners being Mrs. I). Lennox,' Alessrs. Dorricot and It. Pivott.
