CYCLE CLUB DANCE
An enjoyable dance was held last week under the auspices of tho Whakatane Cycle Club in the King Street Hall, Whakatane. Coloured streamers and sprays of wattle made effective decorations and two motor-cycles had been suspended from tho ceiling. Excellent music was played by the orchestra and two songs were sung by Mr. H. Armstrong. In addition an exhibition of roller cycle skating was given by Mr. D. Aberhart and Mr. Jones gave two recitations. Among those present were:—Mesdames R. Bridger, .1. Whitten, Wilson, F. Johnson, M. Orr, S. Doncaster, Clark, Hume, Teasdale, Phillip, Misses A. Wilson, J. Campbell, Jackson, 11. Latham.
