WHANGAREI
A successful bridge drive was held on Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. F. G. Radcliffe, Mill Road, Whangarei, in aid of the funds of the Whangarei Croquet Club. Three rooms were used for play, 15 tables beitig occupied. Prizes for the highest scores were won by Mrs. J. Reid and Mrs. H. N. Simmonds. Supper was supplied by members of the social committee of the croquet club. The guests were received by Mrs. F. G. Radcliffe, who wore a frock of black charmeuse, and a coatee trimmed with ermine. Miss O. Radcliffe, who assisted her mother, wore floral georgette and. a jade velvet bridge coat. Among those present were: —Mrs. T. Pickmere, Mrs. L. Baigent, Mrs. W. Delamore, t Mrs. J. E.
