RAILWAY ACCIDENT
GOODS TRAIN DERAILED BRISBANE-SYDNEY LINE * (Received September 4, 10.45 p.m.') SYDNEY, Sept. 4 A serious train derailment occurred on the north coast line, near Grafton, last night. A goods express from Brisbane to Sydney with 13 waggons of perishable freight, including tropical fruits and farm produce, was rounding a curve a,t a speed of 40 miles an hour when 10 ofvth© vans left the rails and were piled up at the side of the line. No members of the train crew were hurt. The permanent way was torn up for ' a considerable distance, causing a complete dislocation of the inter-State passenger services.
