This brought a turbulent political crisis to a head after three weeks of rumour and uncertainty. 111-health is understood to be the reason for Senor Rubio's retirement, General Abelardo L. Rodriguez has been nominated by Congress to succeed to the Presidency and will' take the oath tomorrow.
