Dunedin, Timaru and Lyttelton yesterday. THE RECORDER The cable steamer Recorder returned to Auckland yesterday morning after carrying out cable repair work near Norfolk Island. KAIRANGA LEAVESGEELONG The Kairanga left Geelong for Auckland on Thursday afternoon with a cargo of wheat. The vessel is duo next Thursday and she will unload at Queen's Wharf. THE TRITON The Norwegian motor-ship Triton is scheduled to arrive from Lisbon, South Africa, via Australia, next. Tuesday. Burns, Philp and Company, Limited, are tho local agents. MAUNGANUI FROM SYDNEY The Maungamii left Sydney at five o'clock last, evening for Auckland and Wellington with passengers, mail and cargo. The vessel is due on Tuesday morning and she is to leave Wellington for Sydney direct on bnday. WAIPIATA DELAYED Owing to the waterside workers refusing to work overtime at tho Waipiata last event}io departure for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin. Bluff and Timaru was postponed until noon to-day. OP AW A FROM LIVERPOOL Tho New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-ship Opawa left Liverpool last Saturday with cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is duo at Auckland on October 4. THE TANKER NEW ZEALAND The tanker New Zealand arrived at Dunodin from San Pedro, via Australia, on Thursday. Tho vessel has bulk oil for tho Texas Company and will unload at Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. She is due at this port nest Friday. MONTEREY REPORTED Tho Oceanic-Matson liner Monterey arrived at Suva from Auckland yesterday and resumed her voyage to Los at five o'clock last evening. She is due at Los Angeles on September 13. THE PORT WAIKATO The Port" Waikato sailed for Southern ports yesterday afternoon. The vessel will load at Dunedin. Timaru, Lyttplton and Wellington for Tauranga, Auckland. Whangarei, Hokianga, Dargaville and Waikato Heads. She will load as \yell as discharge at the last three porta and from Waikato Heads she will proceed to Sydney. NIAGARA CLEARED SUVA The Royal Mail liner Niagara arrived at Suva from Vancouver and Honolulu • yesterday morning and sailed for Auckland at 12 45 p.m. The vessel is due at noon on Monday and she will berth at Prince's Wharf to land passengers, mail and cargo for New Zealand. She is scheduled to resume her voyage to Sydney, taking passengers and mail for Australia, at four o clock on Tuesday afternoon. TEKOA REPORTS Wireless advice received from the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Tekoa states that she will arrive at Port Chalmers from London at daybreak on Monday. After unloading her general merchandise cargo at Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, the vessel will load for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, at Lyttelton, New Plymouth, Warganui, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is scheduled to clear Auckland for London on September 29.
PORT HUON ARRIVES TO-MORROW The Commonwealth and Dominion Lino motor-ship Port Huon will arrive from London at noon to-morrow, according to her wireless advice. The vessel will berth at Prince's "Wharf to land 11 passengers, as well as a quantity of general merchandise for Auckland. The remainder of tho cargo is for discharge at "Wellington. After completion of discharge the vessel will load for Kngland at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier. Gisborne and Auckland. one is scheduled to sail finally from Auckland for London, via Dakar, on October 4. Heather, Roberton, Limited, aro the local agents. MAIMOA LEAVES SYDNEY Advice received by L. The vessel was formerly the 506-ton twin screw steamer Mai ion Sleigh. which was built at Biemerha\en in 190 G. Since being bought by Captain Watchlin she has been converted into a motor-ship, her steam engines having been replaced by twin Fairbanks Morse engines each of 2GO Ji.p. She is to be used in the New Zealand coastal trade between southern ports and Auckland. Captain A\atclilin's motor vessel Port Waikato will then be transferred to the intercolonial service.
