TRUST MONEY INVESTMENTS [from our own correspondent] TAURANGA, Friday Tho Tauranga Fire Board at its quarterly meeting yesterday adopted a motion urging the. Government to bring down legislation to permit of the investment of trust moneys in fire board securities. The chairman, Mr. T. B. Clay, reported that the pump, the purchase of which was sanctioned at the previous meeting, had been ordered. It was decided that the Public Trustee be advised that the board, would pay off the balance of the loan of £SOO, now amounting to £l2B 10s, in Octobers A motion was tabled that tho resolution reducing tho firemon's allowances, adopted at tho March meeting, be rescinded, and that the 10 per cent reduction imposed at that meeting be restored. The motion was withdrawn, as it was pointed out that the estimates for the current year had been adopted.
