TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS
A few hints and suggestions that may help to minimise the effects of some of the accidents that happen in most homes in which there are young children arc as follow; — Fill all valuable china vases with sand. This renders them less liable to be knocked over should a small hand come in contact with them. Keep all poisonous plants out of the reach of children. See that the family medicine ch?st is locked when not in use, otherwise children may take it info their heads to sample same of the contents. After washing children's garments, rinse them in water in which a little alum has been dissolved. TJse one ounce of alum to every gallon of water required. This renders the garments jion-inflarn-mablc, and lessens the risk of accidents from fire.
