Sir,—Regarding the controversy on wheat duties, this matter can easily overcome as the Auckland Province can"' produce all the wheat required for local consumption. Tuscan wheat has been threshed on the poorer lands North of Auckland at the rate of 28 to 30 bushels V per acre, and there is no difficuty in getting it threshed, as an up-to-date thresher is located in the Henderson district.
