INCREASE OF CAPITAL " The Mount Campbell Gold ,Mining Company, Limited, registered in Auckland, has increased its capital to £7OOO by the creation of 1000 new shares of £1 each. EGGS FOR LONDON MARKET FIRST SHIPMENT LEAVES TO-DAY The first shipment of eggs to London this season, comprising 180 crates containing 64,800 eggs, will leave Auckland by tho Rangitata to-day. The crates were loaded yesterday under the supervision of tho Government grader, Mr. E. C. Jarrett. Everything possible has been done to ensure tho arrival of the eggs in first-class condition. PORK EXPORT TRADE THE SMITHFIELD MARKET "Now Zealand pork is now becoming favourably established on the Smithfield Market, and every endeavour is made by the board to encourage and develop our export trade in this class of meat, particularly with the present economic position before us," stated Mr. T. A. Duncan, acting-chairman of tho Meat Producers' Board, in his address to the annual meeting in Wellington. "Last season the board gave financial support to the Pig Recording Club in the Waikato and; being impressed with tho importance of the work carried out, the board lias arranged again to support this work. Tho Government recently agreed to tho setting up of "a committee representative of all interests concerned with the pig industry to make a complete investigation of tho industry with a viewto determining upon essential recommendations. The board is represented on this committee by its general manager. The duty of tho committee is to make investigations with a view to placing the pig industry in a better position, both as regards tho quantity of pigs marketed and their quality. It has also been suggested that uniformity of grading, both for local consumption and for export, should bo established." NATIONAL JERSEY SALE This year's national Jersey sale has drawn u world's record entry ,of butterfat bulls. Tho sale, established by Wright, Stephenson arid Company, Limited, for tho purpose of assembling the Dominion's best bulls, will be held at tho Claudelands Show Grounds, Hamilton, on September 14 and 15. New conditions of entry have been drawn up, which are exclusively for bulls of thoroughly proved butter-fat backing. This etep has met with great support from the leading breeders of the country.
