RETAIL FOOD PRICES EGG VALUES AGAIN LOWER The expected fall of Id a dozen in the price of eggs is the principal change in retail food values in the past week. They are now obtainable as cheaply as lid. Mandarins and bananas have both firmed appreciably, the latter realising 4d a lb. Vegetable prices are much the same, although onions are dearer at 4d a lb. There are sufficient supplies of most lines of fish, but whitebait is still scarce, recent rains having aggravated the shortage. Yesterday's prices were:— FEU IT Apples. TARANAKI OIL FIELDS ' SALE OF FORFEITED SHARES Taranaki OH Fields, Melbourne, has advised the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand that the pale of shares forfeited for the non-payment of the seventh call has been postponed. The seventh call, which increased the paid-up value of the shares to 24s 6d, became duo last October. An eighth call of 6d a share was also made, but subsequently dropped fn view of the negotiations which were eventually brought to a successful conclusion with the Vacuum Oil Company Proprietary, Limited.
