The investment market to-day continued most active, resulting in a fresh series of gains on favoured stocks. Quotations are:—Mutton, fine, 23s 6d per cwt.; medium, 20s 6d; beef, fine, 24s 6d; medium, 20s 6d. TIN IN NEW YORK NEW YORK. Aug. 31 Tin (standard), September delivery, is quoted at 23.05 cents a lb., compared with 23.75 cents (August delivery) on August 29.
