RALLY OF METHODISTS

[from oun OWN correspondent] TAUPIItI, Thursday A successful rally was held in the Huntly Methodist Church yesterday. Representatives were present from many parts of the widely-scattered circuit. The church accommodation was taxed to the utmost at the meeting. The superin-tendent-minister, the Rev. Dennis, of Hamilton, presided. Addresses were given by Mr. Dennis and the Rev. J. W. Parker, senr., who stressed the need of the Church during the present troubled times. The Senior circuit steward, Mr. F. C. Day, gave a brief outline of the condition of the circuit. The programme included vocal solos by Mrs. Money (Hamilton), Mrs. S. Clarke (Taupiri), and Mr. R. Preest (Orini), a duet by Mrs. Money and Miss Haswell, a quartette by the Preest brothers (Orini) *nd a yiolin solo by Mr. Litchward tfi&anifcnja
