ENGLISH STUDENT FAILS WIND, RAIN AND STORM (Received August 31, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, Aug. 30 After = battling against a strong wind f heavy rain and a thunderstorm, a young English student, Adrian Kanaar, who started to swim the Channel from Cape Grisnez at 7.30 a.m. yesterday, had to abandon the attempt about 9.30 p.m. when he was only miles from Dover. As he neared the English coast the conditions became worse.
