STRIKE OF SEAMEN
Dutch ships held up TROUBLE AT TWO PORTS AMSTERDAM, Aug. 30 ; The seamen's strike is complete at Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The HollandAmerica ship Volendam cannot sail.-Her captain has only engaged one officer, one teaman and one apprentice. A Government arbitrator is to meet the parties to the dispute. The seamen are seeking to have shipowners forbidden to Substitute British or Asiatic crews for Dutchmen.
