DEBATING CONTEST

A debate between teams representing St. John's Collego and the junior Chamber of Commerco was bold last evening. The subject was, "That the Legislative Council Should be Abolished." Mr. W. J. Lyon judged tho contest, which resulted in the St. John's Collego team gaining 256 points and their opponents 247 points. Tho St. John's Collego debaters wore Messrs. M. U. Sullivan, H. G. Taylor and D. S. Millar and those who represented the junior Chamber of Commerce were Messrs. 11. (5. Bcechey, C. H. Hirst nud A. M. Doull.
