A special general meeting of tho Waiteniata Golf Club, Dovonnort, was held last evening to consider tho advisability of winding up and handing over tlio assets to tho North Slioro Golf Club, Mr. W. T. Langbcin presided over an attcndanco of 39 members. A proposal to amalgamate the two clubs was lost by oue vote. Several players intend, however, to join tho North Slioro Club.
