SLOWEST THRILL YET
BOTTLE RACES " CATCH ON '* " Dropping the bottle" is tho latest in entertaining competitions during tha evening cruises now in full swing on he Clyde. Novelties as additional attractions on these cruises are continually being devised, and the bottle race has " caught on." For the " bottle race " one purchases a ticket, and in return one's name and address are written on a card, together with the necessary instructions, and the card placed inside a bottle. When the steamer is at a certain point all the bottles sold for the competition are dropped overboard. Then it is merely a case of waiting until someone, somewhere, picks up one of the boitles and, acting upon the instructions inside, returns it to the address given. There is a prize for the posseesoi of the first bottle returned within a month of it being dropped overboard.
