I Mrs. L. B. Fletcher left by the Rangii tiki yesterday for London. Miss J. Davis, of Sydney, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Miss K. Carrigan and Miss J. Dodds, of Paparoa, aro visiting friends in Auckland. \ Mrs. E. Kennedy, of Cambridge, is the guest of hor mother, Mrs. L. King, Stanley Bay. Mrs. T. H. Kerr, of Cbristchurch, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Central Hotel. Miss E. Prudhoe, of Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, left this week on a visit to relatives in Auckland. Mr and Mrs. D. M. Riddiford, of Featherston, arrivod in Wellington yesterday from England, where they spent the past year. Miss Wigrain, who has spent several months with her brother, Sir Henry Wigram, and Lady Wigram in Christchurch, arrived in Wellington yesterday on the first stage of her return to England. Cabled advice has been received from London to the effect that Dr. Theodora Easterfield, of Nelson, has passed the examination far membership of the Royal College of Physicians. To welcome to Auckland the ship's company of 11.M.5. Dunedin a dance was given on Wednesday evening by the Devonport sub-branch of the Navy League in the league rooms at Devonport. The hall was decorated with flags and greenery and bowls of flowers added to the brightness of the scene. The committee comprised Mre. H. Melvin (secretary), Mrs. T. Palmer, Mrs. Cleal, Miss Tatton, Miss GMelville, Miss Bertrand, Miss Wyatt, Miss Parker and Miss B. Lund. The weekly concert arranged by Mrs. Raeburn and Mr. A. Hamblin was given in ward 12 at .the Public Hospital on Wednesday evening. The concert party was organised by Miss Alys Moncur, and a very enjoyable programme was provided consisting of songs, elocutionary items, humour, dancing and other items. Those taking part were: Miss Greta Munro, Miss Edith Smith, Miss Doreen Atkins. Miss Alice Moncur, Mr. F. Jacomb and Mr. G. Bell, songs; Mis* Joy Watt, recitations; Miss Mavis Ward, dancing; Mr L. H. Thomass some humour. Madam Humphrey Steward was the accompanist.
