LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
The annual mooting of the Ponsonby branch of the League of Mothers was held on Wednesday. Tho report and financial statement were received and showed a very satisfactory year. Mrs. English, president, thanked the officers and committee for the support given to her during tho year. Mrs. English, who has been president for three years, at the unanimous request of the members, agreed to again accept the presidential office. The. following were elected to office for the incoming year President, Mrs. S. O. English ; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Wilhams, Allum, Frieberg, Millar; secretary Mrs. R. H. Hoisley; treasurer, Mrs. W. Craig; pianist. Mrs. Lonergan. A working committee of 20 members was also appointed. Mrs. English presented to the secretary and treasurer, Mesdames Horsley and Craig, tokens of apprecuition of services rendered in their respective offices Mrs. Williams, vice-president, gave an interesting talk on "Scottish Homo Life. Vocal sofos were rendered by Mrs Ernngton and Miss Wishart. Afternoon tea brought the mooting to a close.
