CHARITY DAY TO-MORROW SECONDARY SCHOOLS MATCHES FINALS OF COMPETITION Tho annual charity day of the Auckland Rugby Union will be held at Eden Park to-morrow, when the principal attraction will be College Duy matches. Pride of placo has been given to the match between Auckland Grammar and King's College,' which will start on tho No. 1 ground at 3.15 p.m. Splendid football is always provided by the meeting of these teams, and an exciting match is anticipated to-morrow. In the first match, King's College was successful by eight points to three. Another keen game should result in the curtain-raiser between Mount Albert Grammar School and Takapuna Grammar at 1.45 p.m. These teams are equal in the le?d with Auckland Grammar, which has won the championship for the last three years. King's College is only one point behind, and, as the matches to-morrow will complete tho competition, considerable importance is attached to all the results. The Auckland Rugby Union's senior matches to-morrow will comprise another series of the Pollard Cup competition, The teams are a3 follows: GRAMMAR OLD BOYS Senior Grade.—Finlayson, Gooch, Garlick, Mathieson, Savory, Lendrum, Weir, Scarborough, Mansill, E. Both games played resulted in close contests, Macky, Logan, Caldwell gaining a win over Farmers' Union by one point, while Sargood, Son and Ewen defeated Ross and Glendining by two points. Mr. H. Curd presided. The president, Mr. J. Dean, was appointed manager of the South Auckland team to play Thames at Pukekohe on Saturday, and the secretary, Mr. W. J. Short, was appointed to manage tho team to represent South Auckland against Auckland at Eden Park on Saturday week.. Mr. Freeman, of Waiuku, was selected to referee' the match against Thames. It was decided to ask the Auckland Rugby Union to support any remit to the New Zealand Rugby Union to abolish tho noreplacemont rule.
