SEVEN YEARS IN PRISON FIFTEEN STROKES OF BIRCH Having deplored tlie prevalence of robbeiy under arms, Judge Macindoc, at a Melbourne Court recently, ordered that two young men wlio bad pliaded guilty to two charges of robbery in company should receive 15 strokes of the birch. Tho Judge sentenced each of the two men to imprisonment for seven years with hard labour on each charge, each sentenco to bo concurrent with, the othei*, and concurrent with sentences of 10 years imprisonment which tlio two men are at present serving for robbery while armed.
