MANUKAU TIDAL FLATS
QUESTION OF RECLAMATION UNEMPLOYMENT BOARD'S VIEW The suggestion of the Onehunga Borough Council and tho Otahuhu Citizens' Welfare League for tho reclamation of the tidal flats of tho Manukau Harbour as an unemployment relief work has not been enthusiastically received by the Unemployment Board, according to a letter from the Commissioner of Unemployment received by the Otahuhu Borough Council last evening. He advised that should the local bodies concerned decide to proceed with the scherno the Unemployment Board would bo prepared to consider the question of providing relief labour for the work. Tho letter was received.;
