MULLET BOAT'S CRUISE

ROGUE AT TAURANGA ROUGH SEAS ENCOUNTERED [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Thursday The mullet boat Rogue, which is en route from Auckland to Dunedin, arrived at Tauranga to-day. The Rogue stayed at Whitianga for five days and sailed on Monday morning, reaching Slipper Island the same afternoon. She left Slipper Island at 10 a.m. yesterday and encountered heavy winds and rough seas. It took 16 hours to reach Mount Maunganui, but the Rogue behaved splendidly and did not ship any water. The Rogue made port at 4.45 a.m. to-day. The yacht will go on the hard for a little refitting and will resume her voyage in a few days. The next call will be at Whakatane and another at Hiclcs Bay. All the members of the party, Mr. and Mrs. M. Andrews and Mr. G. Andrews, are in good health. Mr. M. Andrews stated that after reaching Dunedin, he will decide on the route for return to Auckland. The Rogue may come back by the east coast or sail round the South Island and up the west coast. Later, Mr. Andrews has in mind a cruise to the South Sea Islands, and if a transtasman race is arranged he will enter Rogue for the contest.
