Dr. W. J. Worboys, of Imperial Chem 1 ical Industries, Limited, returned ta Auckland yesterday and i 3 at the Grand Hotel. Mr. E. C. Hands, general manager of the Broadcasting Board, arrived in Attck land yesterday, and left on his return to" Wellington last evening. Dr. E. Marsden, secretary to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, left Auckland for Wellington by the limited express last evening. Major R. W. Russell, until recently military, secretary to the Govern6r-Gen-eral, arrived in Auckland from Welline" ton yesterday morning. Ho will leave for England by the Rangitiki to-day. The Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, minister ' - omeritus of the Beresford Street Conimjt gational Church, will leave by the Rangitiki to-day for London, to take tin his new position as Empire evangelic Mr. John Mac Gibbon, manager of 'the Bank of New Zealand in Christchurch will retire at the end of August after 43 years' service with the bank. He will be succeeded by Mr. P. L. Porter, W assistant-manager in Christchurch. ; -
