RAIN AND GALES
NEW SOUTH WALES WARNED AREAS NEEDING MOISTURE SYDNEY. Aug. 3 An intense cyclonic disturbance, bringing rains throughout New South Wales, is advancing from the west. Shipping has been warned of southerly gales to be expected on the coast and in tho Tasman. Falls of several inches of rain were recorded on tho south coast yesterday with tho possibility of floods. Inland areas, badly needing rain to ensure good harvests, have come within tho scope of the disturbance, but so far have, experienced only light falls of rain.
