AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION ALTERATIONS TO BLAZERS Tho present design of tho Auckland representative cricket blazer has been the source of adverse comment among both players and public during the past couplo of Beasons and it was not surprising that the management committee of tho Auckland Cricket Association. at its monthly meeting last evenins, decided to sot up a sub-comjjiitteo to consider tho Question of an alteration. It was resolved to donate a cap only to players taking part in their first representative match and to present a blazer to a player after ho had been chosen to play for.Auckland on three occasions. It was resolved to write to the City Council requesting that a reduction be made in the charge for wickets on public grounds during tho coming season Tho committee decided toehold tho annual meeting of tho association on September 22. Definite arrangements with regard to tho primary schools' coaching scheme for next season, together with tho retainer to bo .paid T. Lyon, were deferred until next meeting. A request from the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association for co-operation in preventing imfinancinl players in one sport from participating in another met with approval and it was decided to offer support in the matter. The Hawke's Bay Association wroto requesting a match at Napior against the Auckland representative team when it is returning from tho southern tour next.season. The matter was deferred for, the consideration of tho incoming committee.
