CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB The Metropolitan Gun Club held its usual fortnightly shoot on Saturday. Thero was a fair attendance of shooters and visitors. Shooting conditions were not the best and. consequently, good scores were the exception. Results:— Nine Birds Sweepstake.—J. C. Whitney (14yds), C. K. Hodge (20yds), M. 11. Tisdall (11yds). L. Potarson (17yds). and E. J. Schofield (16yds), divided the stake with eight each. ~ , TT ... Fifteen Birds Match for Walker and Hall s Troohv.—J. Miller (14yds). shot, the possible ami took the trophy and first money in tho sweepstake. L. Peterson (17yds) and C. L. Hodge (20yds) divided second . und thiril money with 14 each. Five Pairs Double Rise Match.--A. .T. Hanignu (12yds) and C. E. Hodge (_jyds) divided the Pool will, n.»6 each L Henderson (11yds), C. A. w&itney (Hyds) and R. H. Bartley (12yds) wero the next best witji eight each. Seven Birds Gymcrack Match.—b. H. Bartley (12 to 18yds) was fiist with seven hrnnlcs L J. Hendersou (11 to lbyda), L. Foterson (14 to 20yds). J. Miller (13 to 17vds) F. J. Hazard (11 to 10yds). G. L. Hodge' (15 to 20yds), and A. J'. Hnuigan (11 to lUyde) tied for second prize with six each. In the shoot-ofi Miller .won on tho 10th bird.
