MORRINSVILLE BOROUGH

COLLECTION OF RATES REQUESTS FOR REVALUATION [from our own correspondent] MOERINSVILLE, Monday It was reported by the clerk at a meeting of the Morrinsville Borough Council that rates received for the current year to date totalled £2075. At this time last year only £IBOO had been received. Dissatisfaction was expressed ~at the delay of the Valuation Department in making a revaluation of the borough. It was stated that no reply had been received for some time to letters written by the clerk. The Waikato Hospital Board notified the council that the levy for this year was £393, a reduction of £5 compared with last year. > ■ The council decided to oppose the proposed exemption of farmers' trucks from the payment of heavy traffic fees, as proposed by the Commissioner of Transport.
