VISIT TO UNITED STATES The chief city librarian and director of - the Art Gallery, Mr. John Earr, will leave for the United States by the Mariposa to-day, to study Wary methods there. Mr. Barr, who has been awarded - a grant by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, will be away about six months. Mr. Barr was recently farewelled by the Auckland Booksellers' Association ana publishers' representatives, at Milne and Choyce's tearooms. The president of the association, Mrs. E; W. Moore, presided.
