CAR AND CYCLE COLLIDE

YOUNG MAN THROWN HEAVILY SERIOUS INJURIES RECEIVED Grave injuries to the head were received by Mr. Donald Norman Gordon, aged 23, single, as a result of a collision between his motor-cycle and a motor-car in Eden Terrace shortly after 5.30 on Saturday morning. Mr. Gordon, who is a baker employed by Storinont's, Limited, was riding to his home at 246 Hobson Street, City, when the accident occurred. He was thrown heavily from his machina and struck his head in falling. He was immediately taken to the Auckland Hospital, being admitted about six o'clock. His condition last evening was very serious.
