LEFT-HANDEDNESS
Sir, —Regarding the remarks by Professor Fitt on left-handed people, I know some clever people who have been lefthanded all their lives. One in particular, a young man, went through school lefthanded in everything and just recently successfully "cleaned up" all the singles in tennis light round the Manawaru district, not to mention tournaments won in the doubles. Again, I know of a young left-handed person who has never been taught the piano and yet has a marvellously perfected ear for music—so much so that he is sought for all round the Waikato. It is a fact that most truly handed people are wonderfully gifted intuitively, as well as being very active physically. If you could publish my views you would, I feel sure, help to set at ease many parents of children now going to school who are using the left hand in all their work, both in and out of school. Left-handed.
