INDIAN MURDER
CONFESSION BY ACCUSED DEATH SENTENCE PASSED j (Received July 29. 5.45 p.m.)' ! CALCUTTA, July 28 Abdul Rashid has been sentenced to death for the murder of Captain W. Coldstream on July 22. Rashid confessed the crime and made no defence. In the tenth political outrage in India this year, Captain W. Coldstream, of the Indian Medical Service, who also was a civil surgeon, was murdered on July 22 by a young Moslem orderly as he was carrying out the rounds of the hospital at Peshawar. The assailant leaped upon Captain Coldstream from behind and stabbed him in the neck. The victim died instantly.
