MISHAP TO TRAIN
PARTIAL DERAILMENT INCIDENT NEAR NEWCASTLE (Received July 2D, 8.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 29 A train was partially derailed at Fassifern, in the vicinity of Newcastle, owing to a broken raii. Five passenger coaches of the north coast mail train bound for Sydney left the rails, ploughing up the permanent way, throwing passengers off their seats and causing alarm. The driver had slowed down just before tho derailment, at a point where repairs to a culvert were under way. Nobody was injured.
