WELL-A-DAY!
Monday was doing her washing, And "hanging it out to dry; Tuesday was ironing and mending, And baking a cherry pie. Wednesday was scrubbing and dusting, And making the parlour clean; While "bustling round in the market Was Thursday a-shopping seen. Friday went down to the river To wait for the trout to rise; 'And Saturday snored on the sofa, /A handkerchief over his eyes. But Sunday lay down in the cool, fresh grass, !And. watched through the tree-tops the white clouds pass.
