Cast on 84 stitches, knit first row plain; 2nd row, knit 34 stitches, then knit 16 stitches twice, knit on to end. You should then have 100 stitches. Then knit 17 rows -in stocking stitch. Next row, knit 47 stitches, knit 2 together, _ knit 2 plain, then knit 2 together again, and knit to end of row. Keep decreasing like this evjry two rows until you have 54 Btitches; knit about 8 to 10 rows plain without decreasing cast off.
