The.awards were: —Tauwhare group (Messrs. V. Chittv, L. Chitty and B. Robinson), 1; Paterangi group (Messrs, S. Rhodes, H. Rhodes and M. A. Rhodes), 2; ,Matangi group (Messrs. J. Dalgleish, F. ELDER, SMITH AND COMPANY DIVIDEND OF 4 PER CENT Elder, Smith and Company, Limited, general merchants, woolbrokers and livestock salesmen, Adelaide, has cabled tho New Zealand Stock Exchange Association that a final dividend at the rato of 4 per cent per annum has been declared for the half-year ended Juno 30. making a total dividend of 4 per cent for the year. Payment will be made on September 1. The dividend is at tho same rate as that paid in the previous year. Tho company has a paid capital of £2,393.640. P. AND O. DEFERRED STOCK LONDON. July 28 P. and O. deferred stock is quoted at 16s ljd, compared with 15s 6d yesterday.
