YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH. Auckland.—Very cold conditions were experienced yesterday, with dull, cloudy weather and a light south-easterly wind. The barometer continued falling and registered oO.OOin. last night. Wellington.—Tho weather in Wellington was again fine, with bright sunshine in the morning and overcast skies in'the afternoon. There was a very light wind from the north. - Christchurcli.—The weather yesterday, . after a frost of 14 degrees, was overcast, with a light breeze from the south-south-west. The maximum temperature was 48 degrees. The barometer rose during the day to 30.38 in. Dunedin. —The weather was sunny and pleasant yesterday morning, but the sky was overcast in the afternoon. There was practically no wind; and the atmosphere was fairly warm. The barometer showed little movement, and last evening registered 30.40 in.
