CONTROL BOARD MEETING. \ MATCH WITH NORTH AUCKLAND. NO FIXTURE IN CANTERBURY. A letter received from the North Auckland Association at last evening's meeting of the control board of the Auckland Football Association confirmed July 30 as the date fpt its match with an Auckland eleven to be played at Hikurangi. " The Canterbury Association wrote with regard to the proposed match with the Auckland representative team, but,' as the terms suggested in the- letter were not suitable, the control board resolved not to proceed further in the- matter. .

The North Island Secondary Schools' Association notified that its annual tournament would bo held at •'Wanganui on August 25, 26 and 27. , With a view to having unfinancial players in ojie sport : prevented from playing in another, tho Auckland Lawn Tennis Association wrote stating that a. meeting of delegates from various.sports bodies was being held next Tuesday, apd asking that a delegate representing tho control board attend.
