RUNAWAY HORSE.
SHOP WINDOW SHATTERED.
WILD DASH THROUGH STREETS EXCITEMENT AT FRANKTON. [FROM OUR OKX CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Friday. A bolting horse in a butcher's cart* which, after the driver had been thrown from his seat, crashed into a shop window, caused some excitement in Commerce Street, Frankton, this afternoon. The horso and cart, owned by Mr. V? Morrow, butcher, oli Frankton. was heing driven by his son, Mr. G. Morrow, into Commerce Street., when the animal shied and bolted, the driver being dislodged. In attempting to turn a cornor the horse slipped and careered across the footpath into a large plate-glass window of a draper's shop, owned by Mr. J. McOreasli.
The horse, although bleeding freely, dashoe for home, where ifc jumped "a fence, the cart remaining on the out. side. As the animal wa3 found to be severely injured it was immediately shot. There were fow people in the street at the time of the mishap and no one was injured.
